Recognition Rites of MLQU Senior High School Grade 11 Class of 2023: Newton and Weber Sections

Manuel L. Quezon University’s (MLQU) Senior High School Grade 11 students of the Newton and Weber sections marked a significant milestone in their academic journey with the Recognition Rites held on June 16, 2023.  The ceremony served as a momentous occasion to acknowledge and celebrate the hard work, dedication, and accomplishments of these exceptional students.

During the event, the students were commended for their outstanding achievements.  Among the highlights were the students who received special awards.  Two students were recognized for their exceptional performance with High Honors, while 48 students received Honors for their exemplary academic standing.  Additionally, five students were presented with the perfect attendance award, showcasing their commitment to their  studies, and seven students were honored with conduct awards for exemplary behavior and conduct.

The recognition ceremony not only acknowledged the students’ academic accomplishments but also celebrated their personal growth.  EVP Lucille Ortile, in her message to the students, emphasized the immense dedication, hard work, and perseverance they exhibited throughout the year. She expressed her pleasure in witnessing their growth, both academically and personally, from the classrooms to the extra-curricular activities.

EVP Ortile was privileged to be part of the students’ journey, witnessing their incredible talents, passion, and spirit.  In light of their achievements, she extended an invitation to the students to continue their education in MLQU’s college program.  She highlighted the benefits of the Protégé Program, which offers mentorship and support, ensuring smooth enrollment process and assisting the students through their college years.  Moreover, she emphasized the program’s commitment to securing gainful employment for the students upon graduation, further enhancing their future prospects.

The School Principal, Ms. Rhia Vicente, also joined in congratulating the students on their remarkable accomplishments.  She praised their hard work and expressed her pride in their outstanding performance.  Ms. Vicente acknowledge the dedication and effort that the students invested in their studies, acknowledging the impact of their commitment on their achievements.

Looking ahead, Ms. Vicente expressed her hope that the students would have an equally enriching and successful learning experience as they move on to Grade 12.  She assured the students that MLQU would continue to provide them with an education that prepares them for their future college journey.  By equipping them with the necessary knowledge, skills and values, MLQU aims to nurture well-rounded individual who are ready to face of higher education and beyond.

In her response on behalf of Batch 2023, Leanne Pauleen Tan expressed her heartfelt gratitude to school administrators and faculty for their tremendous support throughout their academic journey.  She thanked them for creating memorable and nurturing environment for the students, one that fostered both personal and academic growth.

With gratitude, Leanne acknowledged MLQU for providing not just a safe space but also a platform for quality education.  She recognized the efforts made by the faculty to deliver exceptional teaching and impart knowledge effectively.  Leanne’s words resonated with her classmates and served as a reminder of the positive impact MLQU had on their lives. Her gratitude encapsulated the sentiment felt by many students who had found a second home at MLQU.

The Recognition Rites of the MLQU Senior High School Grade 11 Class of 2023 truly exemplified the students’ commitment to excellence and their remarkable journey of growth.  With their exceptional achievements and the support of MLQU’s dedicated faculty and staff, these students are well on their way to accomplishing even greater feats in Grade 12 and beyond. Congratulations to all the students, and may their future endeavors be filled with success and fulfillment.
