MLQU LIBRARY’S BOOK COLLECTION ENRICHED AFTER BOOK FAIR

More than 2,000 years ago, the famous Roman orator Cicero said: “A room without books is like a body without a soul.”  Following Cicero’s metaphor, one can say that a school is lacking meaning and definition without books to fulfill its purpose: to enable the acquisition of knowledge and enrichment of the mind and spirit.

It is in this light that MLQU Library held a Book Fair last February 14-15, 2023. Various publishers, e.g. Rex Bookstore, Treasures and Learning, New Century, Wiseman, Chapter House, among others were invited to showcase their publications at the book bazaar. Students, faculty members, and administrators all came to peruse, look over and leaf through the array of displayed books.  As the ultimate users of the books, the browsers made known their choices to top MLQU management. Using the list of requested titles,  MLQU purchased the books.

After the two-day book fair, MLQU’s collection of books has visibly increased in volume, further reinforcing the school’s metaphoric soul. Cicero would have happily praised this development.
