MLQU Bar Operations Committee Holds Heartfelt Send-Off for 2023 Bar Examinees

In a show of unwavering support and camaraderie, the Manuel L. Quezon University (MLQU) Bar Operations Committee organized a poignant send-off mass for the aspiring legal minds set to take the 2023 Bar Examinations.  The event, held on August 12, marked a momentous occasion as the MLQU community came together to bolster the spirits of the examinees, acknowledged their remarkable achievements, provide them with essential advice for the challenge ahead.

The send-off mass, a tradition cherished by MLQU, was a significant gesture meant to invigorate and uplift the 2023 barristers as they gear up for one of the most rigorous and demanding milestones in their legal journey.  Officiated by Father Gil Rochar P. Dulay, an alumnus of the MLQU School of Law, the mass offered a moment of reflection, solace, and inspiration for the examinees both on-site and through the virtual platform.

Prior to the commencement of the mass, Vice Dean Ria Corazon Golez-Cabrera welcomed the attendees, shining a spotlight on the immense dedication showcased by the bar operations committee.  She acknowledged the tireless efforts of both the past and present committee members who have wholeheartedly devoted their time and expertise to guide and support MLQU’s barristers as they prepare or the grueling bar examinations.

The event witnessed the presence of notable figures within the MLQU community who offered their well wishes and valuable insights to the future legal practitioners.  Atty. Gilbert Villoria, representing management, extended his best wishes to the bar examinees, emphasizing the institution’s profound pride in their endeavors.

Sharing practical wisdom gained from personal experience, Atty. Jennefer Estabillo, the triumphant topnotcher of the 2022 Bar Examinations, imparted strategies that aided her in conquering the challenging exams.  Her invaluable tips provided a roadmap for success that went beyond the confines of the academic curriculum.

Dean Jose Lotilla, one of the esteemed examiners of the 2022 Bar Examinations, offered a unique perspective by shedding light on what distinguishes exceptional answers from the rest.  His insight provided a valuable glimpse into the evaluator’s mindset, offering the examinees a deeper understanding of how to effectively communicate their legal knowledge.

Concluding the roster of speakers was Atty. Rizza Astete, who shared her own insights and strategies that proved successful during her own 2022 Bar exam journey. She passionately emphasized the significance of every single point and how diligent preparation and attention to detail could be the determining factor between success and falling short.

As the event drew to a close, the atmosphere was one of hope, unity, and determination.  The send-off mass served not only as a formal farewell but also as a symbolic gesture of the MLQU community’s commitment to the success of its graduates.  With the steadfast support of their peers, mentors, and the invaluable advice from experienced legal professionals, the 2023 MLQU barristers now stand well-equipped to hurdle the forthcoming Bar Examinations and embark on their fulfilling careers in the field of law.
