Manuel L. Quezon University (MLQU) has recently announced the appointment of Dr. Mario Glenn A. Isic, PhD, as Dean of the Real Estate Management (REM) Program. Additionally, Dr. Isic will serve concurrently as the Vice President for Administration of the university. This strategic move aims to enhance MLQU’s real estate education offering and strengthen its administrative leadership.
Dr, Isic brings a wealth of experience to his new role. Prior to joining MLQU, he served as the Vice President for Corporate Human Resources and Administrative Services at New San Jose Builders, Inc., where he played a pivotal role in managing human resources and overseeing administrative operations. This experience has equipped him with a deep understanding of the real estate industry and the skills required to lead a dynamic academic program.
In addition to his corporate background, Dr. Isic is an esteemed educator. He currently teaches part-time at three prestigious institutions: University of Sto. Tomas where he teaches management; the University of the East, where he focuses on social science; and MLQU, where he contributes to the Graduate Studies program. This dedication to academia demonstrates his commitment to shaping the next generation of real estate professionals.
Dr. Isic’s educational background is equally impressive. He earned his Master in Business Administration (MBA) from the renowned Asian Institute of Management (AIM). Subsequently, he obtained a Doctorate Degree in Human Resource Management from the University of Sto. Tomas. Dr. Isic also holds a Masters Degree in Education Management from St. Joseph College, and a Bachelor of Arts with a major in Philosophy from San Carlos Seminary. This diverse educational foundation allows him to bring a multidisciplinary approach to his new role at MLQU.
Moreover, Dr. Isic has undergone various training programs and seminars in real estate management and construction, including specialized areas, such as residential and commercial leasing. These additional qualifications further strengthen his expertise in the field and equip him to provide practical and relevant insights to students in the REM Program.
As Dean of the REM Program, Dr. Isic will play a vital role in shaping the curriculum, fostering industry partnerships, and guiding students to excel in the real estate sector.
