ATTY. PAQUITO N. OCHOA, JR.
CHAIRMAN AND PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE
As we step into the final quarter of the year, I trust that this message finds you well and settled into your respective classes. I hope your academic journey at MLQU has been enjoyable, rewarding, and fulfilling thus far.
Education is a precious opportunity to build a stable foundation for your future, and your commitment to learning is commendable. I urge you not to miss your classes whenever possible, as consistent attendance is key to your academic progress.
We have faced some challenges at the start of this semester, including disruptions caused by two typhoons that affected our country. However, I want to reassure you that the number of days and hours dedicated to your classes for the entire semester will not be compromised. We are actively working on organizing make-up classes as soon as possible to ensure that you receive the education you deserve.
While the news of class suspensions may bring momentary elation, it is essential to remember that these disruptions can hinder your learning journey. Rest assured, we are fully committed to making up for any lost time.
I encourage you to be vigilant and inform us if any professors fail to organize make-up classes as required. Your feedback is invaluable in maintaining the quality of education here in MLQU.
I understand that many of you have already had your respective school orientations. However, I am excited to announce the upcoming wider orientation event for all students, particularly our freshmen, organized by the Office of Student Affairs and Services (OSAS) this month. This event will provide you with a deeper understanding of what MLQU can offer and the various services available to enhance your curricular and extra-curricular experiences.
In addition to our orientation, I would like to extend my heartfelt wishes to our barristers who are preparing for the Bar exam this month. We recently held a formal send-off for them, and we have every confidence that they will successfully overcome this final hurdle in their journey to becoming lawyers. We wish them not only success in the Bar exam but also in all their future endeavors.
I want to assure you that there are numerous exciting initiatives in progress, all with your well-being and academic success in mind. Our commitment to these goals is unwavering, and I encourage you to do your part by dedicating yourselves to your studies and embracing the journey ahead with enthusiasm.
Thank you for being part of the MLQU community, and I look forward to witnessing your growth and achievements in the coming months. Together, we will continue to make MLQU a place where your dreams can flourish.
All of them have stayed true to the vision of the school founders of becoming nation builders.
You, as a next gen nation builder, now have the opportunity to stand on the shoulders of those who have gone before us and do your part to ensure that their work is carried on into the future.
As we enter a new age powered by new communications technology, MLQU’s brand of education is being repurposed and re-calibrated in a new direction to adapt to the times.
The challenge is not just in the harnessing of new technologies. The challenge is how to make the student serve a meaningful purpose after graduation.
Now more than ever, our society has a need for courses like law, architecture and engineering, accountancy, business management and criminology to build our nation and its foundations must be strengthened.
The challenge is to produce a new generation of excellently-educated patriotic Filipinos to help propel our country to take its rightful place among the most progressive nations of the world.
Committed to rise to the challenge, the new MLQU now opens its doors to empower you to respond to the nation’s call.
Go through this virtual portal and explore and learn more about this venerable institution of almost half a century. Ponder on the kind of course that fits your talent and your aptitude and what your heart tells you.
I’m sure that at the end of your virtual exploration, you will find that MLQU is the ideal place to launch and build your career as a nation builder of the future.
