Quezon University (MLQU) hosted the 20th Gawad Tanglaw Para sa Sining at Kulturang Pilipino. Gawad Tanglaw, an academe-based media critics award-giving body stands as a beacon of excellence in the realm of Philippine arts and culture. The brainchild of Dr. Romeo Lirio and presided over by Dr. Jaime G. Ang, who also serves as the Dean of the School of Graduate Studies (SGS) and School of Arts, Sciences, and Education (SASE) at MLQU, Gawad Tanglaw has established itself as one of the most prestigious award-giving bodies in the Philippines, alongside the Gawad Urian and the Young Critics Circle.
