Architect Marinelle E. Torcelino Shines in Special Licensure Examination for Architects conducted by the Professional Regulation Commissions (PRC)

Manuel L. Quezon University (MLQU) proudly celebrates the outstanding achievement of its alumna, Architect Marinelle E. Torcelino, who secured the second spot in the June 2024 Special Licensure Examination for Architects conducted by the Philippine Regulation Commission (PRC) for examinees based abroad.  Her remarkable accomplishment has brought immense pride to her alma mater and the Filipino architectural community.

Academic Excellence and Early Achievements

Architect Torcelino’s journey to success began at MLQU, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Architecture. Her academic prowess was evident early on when she placed second in the University of the Philippines (UP) Architecture Forum in 2015.  This early recognition set the stage for her future endeavors and achievements in the field of architecture.

Professional Journey and Current Role

Currently based in Abu Dhabi, UAE,  Architect  Torcelino works as a Quantity Surveyor for the Strategic Enhancement Project (STEP) under SWS, previously recognized as ADSSC.  She is involved in the Operations and Maintenance Contract of the STEP PSO1 Pumping Station, playing a crucial role in maintaining and improving the plant’s efficiency to produce higher output.  Her expertise in quantity surveying and project management has been instrumental in ensuring the smooth operation and enhancement of the pumping station.

Diverse Professional Experience

Before her current role, Architect Torcelino gained extensive experiences working with leading, established, and emerging companies.  She was involved in the design and construction of residential and commercial projects, fit-out works, macro wall systems, and air conditioning services.  Her diverse portfolio showcases her versatility and proficiency in handling various aspects of architectural and construction projects, from design to post construction services.

Architect Torcelino’s success in the Special Licensure Examination is a testament to her dedication, hard work, and the quality of education she received at MLQU.  Her achievement not only highlights her personal commitment to excellence but also underscores the university’s role in nurturing talented individuals who go on to make significant contributions in their respective fields.

In recognition of her remarkable feat, the MLQU extends its heartfelt congratulations to Architect Michelle E. Torcelino.  Her success serves as an inspiration to current and future students demonstrating that with determination and perseverance, they too can achieve greatness.
